The Ziarah MADANI initiative in Kuantan demonstrates the government’s commitment to welfare across all races, with direct aid ahead of Chinese New Year.
KUANTAN: The Ziarah MADANI programme demonstrates the government’s concern for the welfare of Malaysians of all races.
Conducted last week in the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency, the initiative involved visits to 10 e-Kasih registered households.
Prime Minister’s political secretary Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi said it was part of ongoing efforts to engage with the community.
“Through this ground-level approach, every opportunity was utilised to interact directly with the families involved,” he said in a statement.
The visits aimed to better understand daily challenges related to the cost of living, health and family welfare.
Each family received a financial contribution of RM500 from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The aid was to help ease their burden in making preparations for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
The visits were joined by the director of the Pahang State Development Office, Datuk Razihan Adzharuddin.
Also present were Semambu assemblyman Chan Chun Kuang and officers from the Social Welfare Department.
They conducted assessments to identify potential assistance which could be extended to the recipients.
Ahmad Farhan said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to prioritising people’s welfare.
He stated this commitment stands regardless of race or religious background.
“The spirit of togetherness and harmony within our multiracial society must continue to be nurtured and strengthened,” he said.
He added that listening, understanding and taking direct action will continue to be reinforced.
This approach forms the foundation of governance based on compassion, empathy and social justice.
