Health Minister says Sungai Buloh Hospital’s revamped emergency department has raised patient satisfaction scores from 3.0 to 4.7 out of 5 in just three months
SUNGAI BULOH: The Emergency and Trauma Department (ETD) at Sungai Buloh Hospital has significantly improved service quality and patient experience following a recent transformation.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the department now features a refreshed look, including a more comfortable Discharge Lounge and an upgraded, patient-friendly Green Zone Registration Counter.
“We have successfully facilitated the workflow of staff and patient processes,” he said in a Facebook post after visiting the hospital.
He highlighted that patient satisfaction levels on Google ratings had risen from an average of 3.0 to 4.7 out of 5 within just three months.
“This is clear evidence that the right infrastructure improvements can have a significant impact on the well-being of the people,” Dzulkefly added.
He expressed appreciation to the hospital’s ETD team for their strong commitment to enhancing patient experience.
The minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring all public healthcare facilities are efficient and prioritise friendly, quality service.
During his visit, Dzulkefly also met with a 16-year-old patient from Kuala Selangor, Nur Farisah Qistina, who is recovering from a stroke.
He noted that after more than two months in the Intensive Care Unit, she is now stable, fully conscious and undergoing rehabilitation.
“My dear Farisah, remain strong and resilient in facing this challenge,” he said, adding that the community and medical team continue to pray for her recovery.
